Startup Drinks is Atlanta’s premier meetup for people interested in entreprepreneurship and technology. The theme for the fall semester forum is "Re-balancing Economic Development: Shifting Strategies for Creating Resilient Growth"

Co-sponsored by the Georgia Tech School of Public Policy and the Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institute, the Innovations in Economic Development Forum brings together faculty, other researchers, students, economic developers, and policymakers to discuss leading-edge ideas and practices in economic development and innovation policy. Established in 2004, the Forum meets three to four times per semester at Georgia Tech, usually in Technology Square. The Forum is free and open to the public.

Hello, World! Welcome to Hungry Hungry Hackers (H3)! H3 is an applied research security community established by GTISC, Georgia Tech's Chapter of ACM and GTRI's Cyber Technology and Information Security Lab. We are working to foster a fun environment where security researchers can ethically and safely hone their skills to gain valuable, hands-on experience in the realm of cyber security.
H3 2011 will be held Saturday, August 27, 2011 in the GTRI Conference Center at 250 14th street. This year's event is open to all students (a student ID will be required for entry).

For the last twenty-one years the Collegiate Inventors Competition has recognized and honored student inventors whose inventions one day could make significant contributions to society. This year over $75,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to the winning undergraduate and graduate students and their advisors. 

 The deadline for the 2011 Competition is June 24.   Entries are judged on their originality, their potential impact on society, and the level of student initiative.    Expert judges select up to 12 finalists who receive an all-expense paid trip to the final judging round and awards ceremony in Washington D.C., held in the fall.  National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductees participate in the final round of judging and have included Thomas Fogarty, inventor of the balloon embolectomy catheter; George Smith, 2009 Nobel Prize recipient and inventor of the charge-coupled device; and James West, inventor of the electret microphone.

Both strategic and tactical, the Influencing The Headlines Executive Media Workshop provides eye-opening insights and effective tools to help participants engage successfully with the news media, enhancing their personal brand while adding value to news stories.
